About Drafting Technology
Drafting Technology prepares students to meet the design and drafting needs of engineering, architectural, and manufacturing firms.
Graduates are prepared for entry level jobs such as drafter, designer, engineering assistant, 3-D modeler, and estimator and will be especially qualified as computer-aided drafters, solving basic design problems and providing engineering support.
In addition, Drafting Technology graduates may continue on to university programs such as industrial technology, engineering, manufacturing, and architecture. All of the Drafting Technology programs are fully accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). Students learn in a hands-on, high tech classroom and lab environment, using the latest computer-aided drafting (CAD) software and hardware, including 3-D printing technology.
