At individual and group meetings with Renee Saucedo, CR's new Director of Student Equity & Success, many faculty and staff have expressed a desire to have a discussion on how to talk about racial equity. Simply put, the question many people have is, "How do we talk about race if we don't really know HOW?"

In this discussion, facilitated by Renee Saucedo, participants will attempt to answer questions like: "What are the terms one should use to identify diversity groups?" and "How can I participate in the conversation without offending?"

The goal of this session is to help faculty and staff feel more comfortable discussing racial inequities and to offer a common vocabulary and analysis.
