Cyber Security

Learn effective security practices for the workplace, and how to detect and thwart the tricks used in modern day internet scams. The purpose of this session is to raise awareness of information security, and to inform and highlight the responsibilities that faculty, staff, student workers, third party contractors, and volunteers have regarding their information security obligations.  This session will cover various aspects of the ever-evolving cyber threat landscape, and will help attendees learn how to recognize threats and scams.  Improved awareness will assist in protecting restricted and sensitive data, financial information, intellectual property, online accounts, personally identifiable information, networked systems, and applications entrusted to and utilized by the college.  This session will provide a broad understanding of information security threats, common attack vectors, risks, and best practices.  This session will also include planned changes in order to improve network security.
