Eligibility and Services


The Student Support Services Program (SSSP) at College of the Redwoods, Del Norte, welcomes all new and continuing students.


What is SSSP?

The Student Support Services Program is a grant funded, U.S. Department of Education TRIO program.

The mission of the SSSP is to provide supportive services to eligible students in order for them to remain in college and complete their academic or vocational goal.

Each year, the SSSP at the Del Norte campus of College of the Redwoods is committed to increasing the retention, graduation and transfer rates of 200 low-income, first generation college students who have academic need.


Program Eligibility / How to Apply

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal resident
  • Be enrolled in at least 12 units at College of the Redwoods, Del Norte.
  • Have academic need

And meet one of the following criteria:

All services are free of charge to eligible participants

  1. Contact one of the Student Support Services Staff members or the main office for an application.
  2. Complete the confidential application
  3. Return it to Marla Ovick in the Student Support Services office located next to the library.
