Addiction Studies

Help in Recovery

Do you want to help those struggling with addiction? This program teaches you the skills required to work in today's treatment facilities and prepares you for the necessary California certifications. With the country’s ongoing opiate epidemic creating an ever-growing demand for trained addiction specialists, now is the perfect time to pursue a career in Addiction Studies.

Fully accredited by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals, the program meets all California certification standards and was designed to get you trained and working in the field as quickly and economically as possible. Most students receive job offers before they graduate.

Program Information

The Certificate of Achievement was designed to grant students direct entry into the job market.

It is also a great starting place for students who want to continue their studies towards an Associate of Arts, Liberal Arts: Behavioral and Social Science degree. One could then transfer to a four-year college or university to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Sociology.

Students advance rapidly from classroom to treatment facilities  experience. Our certificate includes two internships, each consisting of 150 hours of real-life, supervised practice in approved addiction treatment facilities. Telepresence from Del Norte and Klamath-Trinity is offered for many of our classes.
