Kelly Scott has been a dedicated Paramedic in the local community since 1993. Her passion for emergency medicine began at a young age, drawn to a career that is both challenging and diverse. Known for bringing her enthusiasm for pre-hospital care into the classroom, Kelly has served as the Primary Paramedic Instructor for College of the Redwoods’ North Coast Paramedic Program since 2005. She teaches all of our Paramedic courses.
The Paramedic curriculum is rigorous and dynamic, providing students with opportunities to learn critical care in simulated classroom settings. Kelly enhances these lessons with real-world experience, challenging students to be prepared, work hard, and embrace vulnerability, a key step toward mastering skills needed for field leadership.
Once considered a stepping stone to other careers, paramedicine has grown into a respected and versatile profession. Kelly guides students toward a wide range of opportunities, including firefighting, tactical law enforcement, critical care flight, nursing, education, and physician assistant roles. She is committed to mentoring students who aspire to become career paramedics, instilling the skills and confidence they need to excel.
Kelly Scott is proud to serve her community both on the field and in the classroom, sharing her expertise and passion with the next generation of emergency care professionals.
