Mathematics

The Language of the Universe

Are you ready to embark on a journey of discovery and problem-solving? Our mathematics program offers you the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of numbers, patterns, and logical reasoning. Mathematics is used to develop techniques to model real world applications, design efficient methods to solve problems, and create theories for problems we have yet to solve. Math majors find careers in teaching, finance, computing, biotechnology, actuarial science, and many other areas dependent on the ability to think logically.

Math faculty have volunteered to pilot a "Shared Office Hours" Program where they are opening/sharing office hours with students in any math course. Much like the Math Lab used to function, students will be able to have set hours where they can drop in and get help from a Math Professor.

Free tutoring is also available to CR students through the Academic Support Center: https://redwoods.libguides.com/Tutoring  for more information.
