LIGHT Center
The LIGHT (Learning Integrating Guidance with High Technology) Center provides one-on-one and small group instruction for students looking for academic assistance.
- We help with a wide range of subjects including mathematics, science, reading comprehension, writing skills and computer skills.
- Instructional assistance is available online (via Zoom) or face-to-face on campus.
- Students earn credit for completing 30 hours of study (either online or face-to-face).

Virtual LIGHT Center (VLC)
Virtual LIGHT Center meetings are held via Zoom and offered as an alternate way to earn attendance hours for the face to face Eureka and Del Norte LIGHT Center classes. If you would like to visit the VLC give us a call at the number below.

LIGHT Center Classes
Guidance 143 - Individualized Assessment and Academic Planning
After having met with a DSPS specialist, students will be screened and assessed to determine if they are eligible for DSPS services based on a learning disability. This process gives the students a clear understanding of their academic strengths and weaknesses and suggests strategies to enhance academic success.
Guidance 145 - Applied Study Skills and Strategies
There are several sections of Guidance 145 that can provide one on one and small group instruction for your academic classes. Attendance is based on each student's individual schedule and appointments designed to meet each students' needs. Students can enroll in sections ranging from 1 - 4 units.
