The exhibition is an exciting opportunity for students and the public to see how CR’s art educations is informed by the dynamic contemporary art making of its faculty. The work in this year’s survey includes soft sculpture, bronze sculpture, photography, metal jewelry, abstract oil painting, life drawing, quilting, ceramics, and collage among other diverse art objects and media.

Visual themes emerging from the exhibition include observation and abstraction of human bodies and of nature, and a surprising exploration of warm colors and tones. Flashes of humor can be found throughout the show, and several works invite reflection through deliberate ambiguity.
