Caring Campus

The Caring Campus Initiative, created by the Institute for Evidence-Based Change (IEBC) and supported by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO), helps create a welcoming campus where students and employees feel connected, supported, and valued. By building meaningful relationships, we help students succeed and reach their educational goals.

How You Can Help

At CR, everyone can make a difference by practicing these five Caring Campus behaviors:

1. The 10-Foot Rule

Greet students with a smile, say hello, and offer assistance when needed—in person or virtually.

2. Name Tags & Identification

Help students know who you are by wearing your name tag or using a clear email signature with your contact information.

3. Warm Referrals

Connect students directly to the right resource by making introductions, providing directions, or contacting the appropriate office on their behalf. Follow up when possible.
