I graduated from a trade school with a degree in automotive technology and I've worked in the automotive field as a technician for 10 years. After graduating from trade school I worked at both dealerships and independent shops before starting my teaching career.

I chose my field (English) because I legitimately enjoyed it, I thought it was fun, and I always felt included. I love digging into literature and talking about it with my peers. I also appreciated that my professors always found ways to make sure that all interpretations, perspectives, and experiences...

I was born in California and always wanted to return here after 40 years of living in many different places in the USA and abroad. CR charmed me not only with a small and student-centered program but also with the natural beauty that the North Coast provides.

I have a General Contractor's license and have worked in construction since 2001. I enjoy remodeling and building homes. This work is meaningful and rewarding.

I have worked for nine years in the automotive field, working on everything from small engine repair to heavy diesel equipment. I have worked as a repair technician and shop foreman in an independent repair facility as well as a journeyman master mechanic at an institutional facility.

I am a College of the Redwoods Dental Assisting Alumni. I attended the Program in 1995-1996. While in the Program, I interned in oral surgery. This was the direction I thought I would go. After graduation, I became a Registered Dental Assistant and Certified Dental Assistant.
